Creative Concept
Collaboration is where the best work lives. Each project in this series was built through creative partnership — bringing together styling, wardrobe direction, and visual storytelling to produce images that neither collaborator could have made alone.
This series brings together a range of collaborative projects produced in and around Puebla over an extended period — each one developed through a different creative partnership, but all sharing the same underlying approach to wardrobe direction and visual storytelling. Working as creative director and wardrobe stylist, the role was to develop the visual language for each project alongside the photographer or director, rather than executing a brief someone else had already resolved.
Collaboration at this level involves a particular kind of creative negotiation. Each photographer brings their own way of seeing — how they use light, what they prioritize in the frame, how they work with subjects. The wardrobe and styling had to be responsive to that rather than fixed in advance. Pre-production conversations established the visual direction; on the day, the styling was adjusted in real time to match what was working in camera.
The wardrobe choices across these projects ranged from editorial looks built from custom pieces to carefully selected ready-to-wear assembled into coherent visual statements. In every case, the selection was driven by how the clothes would read in the specific conditions of the shoot — light quality, location, and the specific qualities the photographer was trying to bring out in their subject.
The range of work in this portfolio reflects the diversity of Puebla's creative community — portrait photographers, commercial directors, artists producing self-directed work — and the range of contexts in which fashion direction and wardrobe styling are relevant. Across all of it, the commitment was the same: to bring a professional level of visual intentionality to every element that could be controlled.
